At first glance, an off-site built home is indistinguishable from a site-built house.
Both are available in single and two-story homes with a wide range of designs.
Better yet, an off-site built home is treated exactly the same as a conventional site built home by appraisers, mortgage officers, inspectors, insurance companies and so on. You can rest assured that there won't be any unpleasant surprises waiting for you.

Appraisal
There is no distinction between off-site built and site-built homes as far as appraisals are concerned. Residential appraisers use the same standards on Select Built Homes as homes built entirely on site.
Mortgages
Our homes qualify for all conventional, FHA, VA, VHAP for Texas Veterans, and Fannie Mae mortgage loans with up to 30 years financing at competitive interest rates. The same mortgage rules and regulations apply to purchasing a Select Built Home as to all site-built homes. Banks and lending institutions treat both types of construction the same. We have some type of loan for most everybody.
Zoning
Select Built Homes can be located in areas zoned SF (single-family) and MF (multi-family) in the city limits of any municipality using Austin, Texas building standards; unless prohibited by site-specific developmental restrictions.
Construction process
The same basic techniques, materials and procedures used in onsite construction are employed in the off-site built process. However, off-site built housing enjoys the benefits of the assembly line - which have been known for decades. The process ensures an efficient and consistent flow of quality materials, without delivery delays, weather damage or theft. The protected environment of the plant lets workers complete a full schedule every day resulting in increased productivity.
Standards and codes
Select Built Homes are computer engineered to meet all national, state & local building standards. They conform to exactly the same standards and codes as site-built housing.
Insurance
There is no difference between insuring an off-site built home or a home that is built entirely on-site.
Basic home insurance covers 11 types of disasters: aircraft, wind/hail, explosion, riots/civil unrest, fire/lightning, vehicles, volcano eruptions, vandalism, theft, smoke, and self-damaging instances.
Few people can afford to replace the loss of their home. If your house burns down or is destroyed by a violent storm, or if your possessions are stolen, home insurance will pay to repair or replace what was lost. The insurance company also agrees to pay for damages resulting from injuries or damage to other people for which you are held legally responsible.
